UQ Tennis Centre Online Court Booking Terms and Conditions |
1. Your credit card will charged once you confirm your booking online. A confirmation email will be sent to you locking in your booking.
2. Your credit card details will not be stored by the UQ Tennis Centre.
3. Date of birth (DOB) is a compulsory field within the online booking form because:
a) Your DOB is used as part of a unique identifier, which prevents duplicate records being created for your customer profile.
b) Preventing duplicate customer records ensures the UQ Tennis Centre can maintain an accurate customer database with one, unique record for each customer.
c) Unique customer records help reduce customer waiting times and processing errors when court hire bookings or program enrolments are made.
d) Obtaining demographic data such as DOB, coupled with an accurate customer database, helps the UQ Tennis Centre in our mission to better understand our customers and effectively tailor our services to meet customer needs.
4. Online court bookings can be booked up to 7 days in advance and no long term or permanent bookings can be made.
5. If a court booking has not been claimed within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, the court will be available to be re-booked by another party.
6. An individual customer may book a maximum of two courts simultaneously; advanced corporate bookings of three or more courts may be requested by emailing the centre ( tennis@uqsport.com.au ).
7. Cancellation Policy
a. To be entitled for a full refund, a cancellation of a single court booking must be made at least four (4) hours prior to the booking time.
b. Where two or more courts are booked by a customer/group a minimum of (4) hours notice is also required to cancel one or more courts.*
If you fail to notify us of your cancellation or cancel online at least 4 hours in advance of your booking, you will be charged for the full booking fee.
8. All players must wear non-marking shoes.
9. Skateboards, bicycles, tricycles, roller blades and animals are not permitted on or around the court area.
10. The customer takes full responsibility for any accident or injury incurred during the course of any booking.
11. It is the responsibility of the customer to vacate the court at the conclusion of their scheduled time.
12. NO SMOKING within the complex (including court area).
13. Event, Coaching and Program bookings have priority over all other bookings.
14. Court bookings after 5pm must start and finish on the hour.
15. Bookings from 9pm must be taken as the last session (9pm - 10.30pm) at the appropriate hire rate.
16. All court lights will be switched off at 11pm sharp.
17. No coaching or structured training may be conducted on any court without prior permission from centre management.
18. Wet Weather Policy
In the event of rain, the Tennis Centre will remain open until 7pm. Court conditions will be assessed periodically to determine playability.
The UQ Tennis Centre has the sole right to close the courts or restrict access, if the courts are deemed to be unsafe.

19. Refund Policy
In the case of wet weather
19.1 Customers already on court will be entitled to a credit for the remaining booking time (allocated in 30 minute increments)
19.2 Customer yet to play with pre-paid bookings will be credited in full for a future booking.
20. Your court number will be allocated upon arrival at the centre
21. Court hire discounts and vouchers can only be redeemed through the proshop. They can not be redeemed online.
* All written agreements entered into by the UQ Tennis Centre and the hirer will take precedence over this condition.
