The University Games is an experience not to be missed!
You can represent The University of Queensland at the games in a variety of sports and social events. It is a great opportunity to represent your university and meet people from all over Australia.
To be eligible to represent UQ, you must be a currently enrolled student. A limited number of non-students can also get involved as managers or coaches.
Cost of competing depends largely on where the games are held.
UQ Sport is seeking a well organised; customer focused Sports Specific Manager (SSM) to join our young and energetic Uni Games team in a voluntary capacity!
The SSM will be involved in the recruitment, training, selection and management of student-athletes selected to represent the University of Queensland at endorsed Australian University Sport events.
This role will see you coordinating the team in your preferred sport, which may include recruitment, selection, fundraising, organising payments, uniform coordination and planning logistics to get your team ready for competition at the relevant Australian University Sport endorsed event. You will be the primary point of contact between UQ Sport and athletes regarding Games specific information.
You will be organised, a good communicator, possess good knowledge of your particular sport, and a sense of fun!
The appointment is on a fixed term, voluntary basis from Monday 18 March, 2013 until 31 December, 2013.
A number of positions are available in a variety of sports.
