UQ Playing Fields & Ovals |
UQ Sport has a range of world class facilities at the St Lucia campus including many ovals and courts. The playing fields and outdoor sporting facilities surrounding the University are superbly maintained and set amongst lakes and landscaped gardens - making them a popular picnic spot and destination for recreational walks.
Ovals
There are a total of eight ovals at the St Lucia campus. The majority are designated for use by particular sports including cricket, rugby and soccer. These ovals are also used for recreational activities and lunchtime social sport.
Oval 1 - Cricket, Hockey
Oval 2 - Cricket, Hockey, Soccer
Oval 3 - Soccer
Oval 4 - Hockey, Touch, Ultimate Disc
Oval 5 - (within the athletics track) Rugby Union, Athletics
Oval 5b - Rugby League, Athletics, Touch
Oval 6 - Rugby Union, Rugby League, Athletics, Touch
Oval 7 - Cricket, Australian Rules Football, Ultimate Disc

Wet weather arrangements
In the event of wet weather or recent rain, UQ Sport reserves the right to close the ovals. Read more about what to do in the event of wet weather.
