Qualifications
All teachers hold an AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification or a Swim Australia Teacher Accreditation and a current CPR certificate. Teachers have also undergone a ‘Working with Child’ check and have been issued with a suitability card (Blue Card). In addition to these qualifications, teachers undergo an extensive induction and training program and are required to regularly attend professional development workshops and seminars conducted internally by UQ Sport and externally through AUSTSWIM and the Australian Swimming Teachers and Coaches Association (ASCTA).
