Get involved and represent The University of Queensland in the 2012 Northern University Games!
Featuring a variety of team sports and a nightly social program, the Northern University Games attracts approximately 1000 university athletes.
It's managed by Australian University Sport and will be held simultaneously with two other AUS regional events: the Eastern University Games and the Southern University Games.

Event info
The 2012 Northern University Games will be held in Lismore, NSW. Sports on offer include:

*Qualification for Australian University Games
The 2012 Northern University Games will be a qualification event for many teams wishing to participate at the 2012 Australian University Games. The sports of basketball, football, hockey, netball and touch football will all fall within the new qualification policy guideline (PDF). Teams will be required to compete in these sports at Northern University Games in order to qualify for the Australian University Games, unless they have been granted pre-qualification based on their 2011 AUG results.

The cost to attend NUG in 2012 is:
$275 + $150 BOND (bond re-fundable – conditions apply)
Payable in the following instalments:
BOND Payment: $150 – Due 21 May 2012
Payment 2: $150 – Due 4 June 2012
Payment 3: $125 – Due 22 June 2012
Cost INCLUDES:
Team UQ Uniform
Accommodation
Insurance
Cost EXCLUDES:
Player Registration Fee (payable to AUS)
Playing Uniform
Transport (to/from/around Lismore)
Social Program / Opening Ceremony (payable to AUS)
In 2012, the following changes will be made to the Registration Process:
- Each athlete MUST Register and pay the Registration Fee directly to Australian University Sport (AUS). Register here.
- Each athlete MUST also register and pay the abovementioned costs to UQ Sport by the required deadline. You can register and make these payments in person at UQ Sport or online (link provided soon).
- Anyone wishing to purchase a Transport Pass or Opening Ceremony Ticket can do so through the AUS Registration form.
