Tae Kwon Do |
In Tae Kwon Do (Course 1) you will learn the stances, blocks, punches and, of course, the dynamic kicks that make Tae Kwon Do the world’s most widely practiced martial art. Our experienced instructors will then teach you how to develop speed and power and to combine these techniques effectively for total self-defence.
Then the fun stuff - practically applying the basics through reaction training, sparring exercises and power building workouts with airshields and focus mitts. You will finish the course with an understanding of the formal techniques and patterns of Tae Kwon Do and partnered training in close combat self defence techniques.
Our classes will give you a great physical and mental workout and our friendly instructors will help you learn what works best for you.
The second course, Tae Kwon Do Self Defence, will build on the material in Tae Kwon Do Course 1 including more advanced techniques, holds and escapes and weapons self defence. Tae Kwon Do Course 1 is a useful, but not compulsory, prerequisite.
